The 10th Annual Beach-to-Beach Swim

One of the best ways to see St. John is from the water.  For a perspective you just won’t get on land, take a look at the island by sailing or swimming around it. Yes, we said swimming! OK, maybe this is only for the truly ambitious, but you have to admit you’ll get a pretty good feel for the lay of the land (and sea) by diving in and heading for the next beach over–all for a good cause, of course.

The 10th Annual Beach-to-Beach Power Swim will be held Sunday, May 26, and benefits Friends of Virgin Islands National Park. Start at Maho Bay and swim a mile to Cinnamon Bay, two miles to Trunk Bay, or go the whole nine yards (or, more accurately, the whole three-and-a-half miles) and swim all the way to Hawksnest. Swimmers can compete as individuals or in three-person teams.

For more information, or to register, visit the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park.

See you there!

PS: Today’s water temperature is 80 degrees.
